SSHC Sub-Acute and Rehabilitaion Center

I received your questionnaire relating to the quality of service I received while at South Shore facility. It is my pleasure to share with you the exemplary care I received...

"My father Paul K had a recent stay at your center for approximately one month. He was not mobile...

A note of appreciation from the family of Maria S.

"I would like to than all those who provided such good care daily to my wife Maria while she was in South Shore...

"I just spent nearly 2 months recovering from a pelvic fracture at South Shore. I chose your facility based on good ratings and a convenient location. It more than lived up to the ratings. I was treated with great care and extremely kind consideration by all staff members I came in contact with. I would particularly like to single out a few who helped me recover from my horrible trauma (pelvic separation). PT Dave, Prime nurse Lori, and the delightful attentive nurses aid Vinyet Frances. A few others are Denise, Eva, and one of my most care giving provider Occupational Therapist Enid Hind. I would also like to complement the very accommodating dietary department. I know I left out many other people who quietly gave me great care, cheerfully. I must also thank Lana and Jaimie for actually making my time spent there pleasant and enjoyable."

"Thank you! " - Mr. S,

A note of appreciation from the family of Maria S.

"I would like to than all those who provided such good care daily to my wife Maria while she was in South Shore.

A special thanks goest to the physical therapists who worked with Maria to allow her to come home as soon as she was able. As a volunteer at South Shore for over twenty years, I have made many friends amongst the staff and patients. My sincerest thanks goes out to all who made Maria's stay as comfortable as possible. She is well on her way to a full recovery thanks to all of you.

I thought that this season of Thanksgiving would be the perfect time to thank you for the care you gave to Mary C. As a frequent visitor, I could see, first hand, the kindness of so many people. I was always so grateful that Mary felt comfortable and content at South Shore.

The care given Mary, and her reaction to it, was also a comfort to me. God bless you at this holiday season.

Sincerely, Mary L."

"My father Paul K had a recent stay at your center for approximately one month. He was not mobile upon arrival there and was able to walk out upon discharge.

My father would like me to mention that Jean, a therapist, was very kind to him and made him laugh. My brother and I would like to commend your wonderful Rehabilitation Director, Peter. Knowing that I live in Florida, he made it a point to call me one week with updates and my brother (who lives locally) the other week.

I credit your great staff for working with this sometimes difficult personality.

Working in the industry on a daily basis myself, I know how comforting it is for someone with hands- on care to reach out to a concerned relative in another state, and so it was for me.

Thank you all again,

Maureen M."

I received your questionnaire relating to the quality of service I received while at South Shore facility. It is my pleasure to share with you the exemplary care I received from Judy (physical therapist), Natisha, and Ms. Mary Long, both are nurses assistants.

Judy demonstrated professionalism, patience, a genuine concern for my rehabilitation. My present progress and mobility is a direct result of Judy's expertise as a physical therapist and her personal concern for my recovery. My surgeon, Dr. Gerber, was very pleased with my progress. Natisha was very attentive to my personal care. She has an attitude of giving and caring. Natisha was always willing to assist in a timely manner, I never felt as though I was annoying her.

Ms. Mary Long has a friendly caring personality. She was always willing to assist in a pleasant manner. She explained a way of getting out of bed that allowed me little independence, which meant so much to me.

My overall experience at South Shore medical care was good; however these caregivers deserve honorable mention.

Sincerely, Ms. B."

My wife Marcia was a patient from June through July. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting with you personally, I wanted to take a moment to thank you and your staff for the great care she received. Everyone at South Shore was always deduced and even eager to make the extra effort to help her and make her comfortable. I want to just mention everyone whose name I can remember because they all deserve honorable mention, and if there name isn't here, it's my failing not theirs.

  • Sherry who gave me a late night tour and made me welcome
  • Beth and Cheryl at the reception desk who were always so gracious
  • Joanne in admissions who made everything easy
  • My two favorite Linda's - Donnelly and Cleary, who were so helpful in every way possible
  • Peter, David, Dawn and all the other therapists who tried their hardest to get Marcia back on her feet
  • and last but certainly not least, all her wonderful nurses and aides; Aricelli; Yvette; Monique; Ngoza; Sherry; Colleen; Joan; Kennedy; Paris; Abigail; and all the rest whose names just escape me at the moment.

Bravo and thanks to all of you.

Fondly, Marty"
